Pumpkin - Connecticut Field

Pumpkins need rich soil and adequate moisture to fill out. Approximately 7 seeds/gram.
Hints:
  • Sow 4-5 seeds 2 cm [1"] deep in hills 2 m [6'] apart.
  • Thin to the two or three strongest plants.
  • Connecticut Field - 115 days. Large smooth orange-yellow grows 20-25 cm [8-10"] in diameter. Used extensively for canning. Excellent for pies and stock fees and also used for jack O' lanterns. Grown large in corn fields.Approximate seeds per gram -3 to 5. Seeding rate 30 grams per 100' row or 1.8kg per acre.
