Frost can improve
the flavour of parsnip, and they store well through the winter.
Sow 1 cm [0.5"] deep in rows 60 cm [24"] apart. Thin
to 15 cm [6"] Do not over fertilize. Approximately 175 seeds
/ gram.
Hollow Crown - 100/120 days. Produces large
roots 30-40 cm [12-15"] long and 8 cm [3"] wide at
the shoulder with a hollow crown. A heavy yielder with a good
sweet flavour after being frozen in the ground.
