Spinach - Bloomsdale (Longstanding)

Spinach is a good source of vitamins A and C and an excellent source of Iron and Fibre.
Hints:

  • Sow 1 cm [1/2"] deep in rows 60 cm [24"] apart.
  • Thin to 7-15 cm [3-6"] apart.
  • Spinach prefers cool moist weather. Warm weather can hasten bolting.
  • Add mulch to keep soil moist.

    Bloomsdale [Longstanding] - Plant vigorous, erect, compact and uniform. Leaves very thick, medium large with curved tips. Deeply savoyed with rich dark glossy green colour. Tender and of excellent quality. Stands several days in hot weather before bolting. Recommended for freezing.
