Spinach - New Zealand or Everlasting

Spinach is a good source of vitamins A and C and an excellent source of Iron and Fibre.
Hints:

  • Sow 1 cm [1/2"] deep in rows 60 cm [24"] apart.
  • Thin to 7-15 cm [3-6"] apart.
  • Spinach prefers cool moist weather. Warm weather can hasten bolting.
  • Add mulch to keep soil moist.

     

    New Zealand or Everlasting - 60 days. A large spreading plant with smooth, dark green small triangular leaves that can be harvested continually up to freezing. Thrives in any warm, dry climate. Seeds are large and nut like.
