Spinach - New Zealand or Everlasting |
Spinach is a good
source of vitamins A and C and an excellent source of Iron and
Fibre.
Hints:
Sow 1 cm [1/2"] deep in rows 60 cm [24"] apart.
Thin to 7-15 cm [3-6"] apart. Spinach prefers cool
moist weather. Warm weather can hasten bolting. Add mulch
to keep soil moist.
New Zealand or Everlasting - 60 days. A large
spreading plant with smooth, dark green small triangular leaves
that can be harvested continually up to freezing. Thrives in
any warm, dry climate. Seeds are large and nut like. |
