Parish Priest
Reverend Elias Ferzli, Pastor
	Born in 1963, in Tripoli - Lebanon. Received his first education and completed his high school at "College St. Joseph", south of Beirut. In 1985 joined the Lebanese University in Zahle studying Arabic Literature, where he completed the first two years before immigrating to Canada in 1988. Living in Ottawa, he was a regular member of St. Elias Cathedral, where he served as a chanter for several years. In 1999 he received the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan Philip to join the Balamand Seminary in Lebanon where he spent 4 years studying, and he was ordained to the Holy Diaconate on November 4th 2001 by His Eminence Metropolitan Elias Korban of Tripoli, and to the Holy Priesthood on May 11 – 2003 by His Grace Bishop John Yazigi Dean of Balamand.In June 2003 He graduated with a degree in theology from the institute of St. John of Damascus – Balamand. Immediately after that he was assigned as assistant priest at the church of the Virgin Mary in Montreal. On May 1st – 2004, he was assigned to the pastorate of St. Philip Church in Edmonton. He is married since 1995 to Nada Abou-Fares, and God blessed them with four children: Adib, Mariam, Christina, and Elena.
