Canada Select is a national program that provides the traveling public with consistent and reliable rating standards.
Properties are rated on a scale of five stars, in half star increments, based on the range and quality of facilities, amenities and services they offer. Star rating provides an accurate and reliable method for guests to choose accommodation that matches expectations - THEIRS and YOURS.
Advantages:
To the consumer - this program is their assurance that the ratings fairly and consistently represent "quality" and "value" according to their accommodation needs
To the operator - this program is an effective way to promote their commitment to excellence through achievement as a rated property.
How do I become a Canada Select Property?
Obtain an application form here or from the AHLA office and return with your payment to the AHLA.
Upon receipt, an accommodation advisor will arrange to complete a rating evaluation. Cleanliness and state of repair are critical aspects of any rating program. Information contained in the evaluation is confidential and is available only to the operator.
