About Dr. Wendy

I have been a therapist for over 24 years. I worked with children, teenagers, adults, and families through a wide range of mental health and life challenges. My career has included work in psychiatric inpatient and outpatient settings, child welfare, court mediation, domestic violence intervention, Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI), Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA), private practice, and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).

I hold a Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy and a Doctor of Marital and Family Therapy, during which I developed a patented domestic violence screening instrument in the United States. My clinical approach is trauma-informed and client-centered, and I am trained in EMDR therapy—an area of practice that became especially meaningful to me after experiencing my own recovery from an MVA.

Today, I am committed to helping clients heal, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I am a Registered Psychologist in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
